County of Hennepin Wayzata, Minnesota J. R. RITCHAY, being duly sworn, on oath says he is and during all times here stated has been the vice president and printer of the newspaper known as The Wayzata -Orono Sun and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows: (1) Said newspaper is printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches. (2) Said newspaper is a •weekly and is distributed at least once each week. (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted to news of local interest to the community which it purports to serve and does not wholly duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of at least 75% of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears and has entry as second- class matter in its local post -office. (5) Said newspaper purports to serve the City of Wayzata and Village of Orono in the County of Hennepin and it has its known office of issue in the City of Wayzata in said county, established and open during its regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscription and maintained by the managing officer or persons in its employ and subject to his direction and control during all such regular business hours and devoted exclusively during such business hours to the business of the newsppaer and business related thereto. (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historial Society. (7) Said newspaper has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day or dates of publication nventioned below. (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966 and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the publisher of said newspaper and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper. He further states on oath that the printed Ordinance No. 144 hereto attached as a part hereof was cut from the columns of said newspaper, and was printed and published therein in the English language, once each week, for onP successive weeks; that it was first so published on Thurs the and was thereafter printed and published on every 26 day of July , 19-1 to and including the day of , 19 and that the following is a printed copy of the lower case alphabet from A to Z, both inclusive, and is hereby acknowledged as being the size and kind of type used in the composition and publication of said notice, to -wit: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz (Official Publication) ORDINANCE NO.144 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12 OF THE BUILDING AND CON- STRUCTION CODE CHANGING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR BUILDING PERMITS THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VIL- LAGE OF MEDINA DOES ORDAIN: That the Building and Construction Code, Section 12, Paragraph A, fee sched- ule for building permits, be amended to read as follows: SECTION 12. Cost of Permit and Other Fees. The following shall be the schedule of fees for the issuance of a permit here- under, and for the making of inspections pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance: A. Building Permit. Cost of the building permit shall be as follows: 1. For the construction of a new com- mercial or industrial building or additions to existing buildings ... 51.50 per 1,000 cubic feet, minimum fee $35.00 2. For construction of a new residential building or additions to existing building . 5 cents per square foot on main floor; 3 cents per square foot on liveable upper floor; 3 cents per square foot for base- ment with walkout or basement 50 per- cent above ground level. No charge for basement more than 50 percent below ground level with no walkout. No charge for attic with no living quarters. 55.00 per stall for attached garage built at the same time as the house. $20.00 for attached garage built later. 3. For construction of unattached build- ing and garages incidental to a residence ...520.00. 4. For moving an existing building or structure to a new location See fee sched- ules No.1, 2 or 3, whichever applies. 5. For major alteration or repair or remodeling of an existing building with the work costing from $500 to $3,000 . . 220.00. For each additional thousand dol- lars or portion thereof .. a2.00. 6. Penalty for failure to get a building permit ... One-half the cost of the per- mit, minimum of $50.00. 7. In addition to the above fees, there shall be charged a Building Permit Inspection Fee for commmerciai and industrial buildings only, which shall be $35.00 plus 10 percent of the cost of the regular fee. Such fee shall be nonrefunda- ble, shall be collected at the time applica- tion is made and is intended to reimburse the Village for inspection of plans by Vil- lage officials and Village consultants. Ordinance No.131 is hereby repealed. This Ordinance shall be in effect upon publication. Passed by the Council this lst day Of May, 1973.
