Grab your basket and hop on over to Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department’s 24th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Ida Lee Park! This year, the Easter Bunny will be hiding over 15,000 eggs filled with candy and special prizes for children ages one through seven. The hunts will be held by age groups: 1-year-olds, 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds, 5-year-olds, and 6 & 7-year-olds. One parent will be allowed to assist children ages 2 and under. All other age groups will hunt without parents. Each hunt will h ave one Grand Prize egg and the lucky hunter will receive a basket full of candy, prizes and toys. After the hunt, enjoy family-friendly amusements and photos with the Easter Bunny. Amusements include UNLIMITED rides on moon bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses, inflatable slides, and face painting. Food vendors will be on-site, but families are welcome to bring picnics to enjoy at their favorite spots in the park. New this year, Half Moon Petting Zoo will have mini farm animals for all to enjoy! Don’t forget your camera to catch these special moments and a basket to collect your eggs! Tickets are $10 per child in advance and $15 at the gate. The price of admission includes all attractions except food vendors. Advance tickets can be purchased in person at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center, by phone at 703-777-1368, or online at www.idalee.org. Parents pay no admission fee and children over the age of 7, who are not hunting or participating in amusements, will be admitted free. Those children not hunting but wanting to participate in TOL PR 2016-03-02 Easter Egg Hunt Page 2 amusements can pay $5 at the event gate to receive a wristband. Pre-purchasing tickets is strongly recommended in order accelerate access through the event gate. Parking will be available in the front fields located off North King Street (Business Route 15).
