The Council of the Village of Medina met in regular session Tuesday, Oc*ober
6, 1970 at 7:30 P. M.

Wayne Neddermeyer, Raymond Bosch, Donald Des Lauriers
and Arthur Theis present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of September 1, 1970 read. Moved by Donald
Des Lauriers that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.
The minutes of the special meeting of September 9, 1970 read. Moved by Arthur
Theis that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.

The minutet of<,the mspecial meeting of September 16, 1970 read.
The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of September 21, 1970 read.
Moved by Arthur Theis that we appoint Thomas Stevens to fulfill the remainder
of Harold Winterhalter's term as councilman.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.
Moved by Donald Des Lauriers to appoint Gerald Dykhoff to the Planning
Commission to replace Thomas Stevens.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.
Selma Thompson appeared with regard to a ditch on a public easement. Mayor
will contact the Village Attorney.
Bids for the garage on the Village property opened, as follows: Kenneth
Thies $351.50, Quenton Stromseth $350.00 and Robert Roehl $326.00. Moved by
Raymond Bosch to award the bid for the garage to Kenneth Thies at $351.50.

W. Wolfe of the Van Dusen Company appeared with regard the acreage of 32 acres.
The Mayor will contact the Village Attorney. •
T. F. Wile appeared with a petition for the removal of a tree in the Oak Circle
in Medina Manor. Leo Leuer was instructed to take down the tree.
• Moved by Arthur Theis that we renew the contract with the Suburban Public Health
Nursing Service for the coming year and also to pay the fee for $812.60 for 1971.
Seconded by Donald Des Lauriers
Voted: Raymond Bosch, yes; Donald Des Laurier, yes, Arthur Theis,
yes; and Wayne Neddermeyer, yes.
Motion carried.
Moved by Raymond Bosch that we instruct the building inspector to use the
Uniform Building Code as of November 1, 1970, with the exception of the fee
schedule.

Moved by Donald Des Lauriers that we grant Dennis Jordan final approval on plat
of Elm Creek Heights and the fees being $200.00 for park fund and $150.00 for
platting fees.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch
Motion carried.
Studied the Budget. Moved by Raymond Bosch that we approve the budget for 1971
at $154,100.00, 389,000.00 to be raised from taxes.

on November 4, 1970 at 7:30 P. M.

Letter from Marlon Haugen re Medina-Morningside water rates read.
Copy of Application fvo permit for disposal system for Loretto was received from
the State Pollution Control Agency.
Moved by Donald Des Lauriers to grant Northwestern Bell Telephone Company per-
mission to place buried cable on Buckskin Drive from #24 to the end of road.

Moved by Donald Des Lauriers to grant St. Ann's Church a non -intoxicating beer
license for one day, October 25, 1970 at no charge.

Mr. Nolan of Land Resources Bevelopment - Mobile homes. Moved by Raymond Bosch
to table the matter until such time as we have recommendations from the Planning
Commission.

A letter ,rom Hennepin County urig down the request for lowering the speed
limit on #116 from Highwy #55 to #47, was read.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to pay the bills as follows: payroll in the amount of
14,959.13 and order checks in the amount of $12,597.87.

Moved by Arthur Theis to have a special meeting October 13, 1970 at 7 P. M.
to take up the matter of the Sellan Thompson - Ekblad masdm nt, the Van Dusen
problem and the sewer complaints from interested parties, with regard to bills.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.
Moved by Raymond Bosch that the meeting adjourn.
