RESOLUTION NO. 87 -2731
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY ADOPTING THE 1987 SUPPLEMENT
TO THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION, 1985 EDITION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City adopted
the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 1985
Edition on July 15, 1986 by Resolution No. 86 -2454; and
WHEREAS, members of the Southern California Chapters of the
American Public Works Association and the Associated General Con-
tractors of California, working as a Joint Cooperative Committee,
have compiled the 1987 Supplement to the Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, 1985 Edition; and
WHEREAS, a uniformity of standards will serve to minimize
conflict and confusion in public works construction and will tend to
lower construction costs for future public works projects through
competitive bidding by private contractors; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works was represented on the
Joint Committee which compiled the 1987 Supplement and recommended
its adoption.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City
resolves that:
1. The 1987 Supplement to the 1985 Edition of the Standard
Specifications for Public Works Construction, prepared by the
APWA -AGC Joint Committee, be adopted.
2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of
this resolution to the County's Director of Public Works.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of September, 1987.

87 -2731, was adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City
at a regular meeting held on the 1st day of September, 1987, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Atkins, Dennis, Swain, Froehle
NOES: Councilmen -None
