Resolution Approving and Adopting a FY25 Budget Calendar
WHEREAS, pursuant to changes adopted by the State of Iowa in House File 718, the City must adopt a
FY25 budget and submit it to the Iowa Department of Management by April 30, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, House File 718 eliminates the requirement for a Max Levy public hearing and makes several
other changes that directly impact the budget calendar process; and,
WHEREAS, on September 26, 2023, in ordinance 13-2023, An Ordinance Amending the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, by Amending Provisions Pertaining to Fiscal Management,
changes to the fiscal management process pursuant to House File 718 were adopted; and,
WHEREAS, the following FY25 budget calendar is proposed in accordance with the above -mentioned
guidelines:

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. The above outlined budget calendar is approved and adopted.
