DON R. LARSON, being duly sworn, on oath says: that he now is and during all the
time herein stated has been DON R. LARSON, the publisher and printer of the
newspaper known as the Crow River News, and has full knowledge of the facts
herein stated.
That for more than one year immediately prior to the publication therein of the
printed Notice City of Medina
Ordinance No. 17 .,-Liquor Licensing
hereto attached, said newspaper was printed and published in the English
language from its known office of publication within the County of Hennepin and
County of Wright, State of Minnesota, on Wednesday and Saturday of each week in
column and sheet form equivalent in space to 450 running inches of single
column 2l/2 inches wide; has been issued from a known office established in said
place of publication equipped with skilled workmen and the necessary material for
preparing and printing the same: THE CROW RIVER NEWS has had in its
makeup not less than twenty-five percent of its news column devoted to local news
of interest to said community it purports to serve, the press work of which has
been done in its known place of publication; has contained general news, com-
ments and miscellany; has not duplicated any other publication; has not been
entirely made up of patents, plate matter and advertisements; has been circulated
at and near its said place of publication to the extent of 240 copies regularly
delivered to paying subscribers; has been entered as second class mail matter in
local post office of its said place of publication; that there has been on file in the
office of the County Auditor of said county the affidavit of a person having first
hand knowledge of the facts constituting its qualifications as a newspaper for
publication of legal notices; and that its publishers have complied with all
demands of said County Auditor for proofs of its said qualification. A copy of each
issue has been filed with the State Historical Society, St. Paul.

published therein in the English language once a week for successive

MEDINA
ORDINANCE NO. 171
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
LIQUOR LICENSING PROVISIONS
OF THE CITY OF MEDINA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MEDINA ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The following provisions of Section
1000:15, entitled License Fees, of the
Medina Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended by repeal of the following:
Subdivision 3. The annual fee for an
"On -Sale" License shall be $1,800.00. The
annual fee for an "Off -Sale" License shall
be $100.00. The annual fee for a Special
Club License shall be $100.00. The annual
fee for a "Sunday Sale" License shall be
$200.00.
SECTION 2:
The following provisions of Section
1000:15, entitled License Fees, of the
Medina Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended by the addition of the following:
Subdivision 3. The licensed premises
and the licenses applicable thereto, upon
an under which "on -sale" intoxicating li-
quor is sold shall be divided into classes
and the licensee shall pay a license fee in-
dicated by the following:
(a) Class A: A licensed premise in
excess of 9,000 square feet in area shall
pay an annual license fee of $3,000.00.
(b) Class B: A licensed premise in
excess of 3,000 square feet, but less than
9,000 square feet in area shall pay an an-
nual license fee of $2,600.00.
(c) Class C: A licensed premise less
than 3,000 square feet in area shall pay an
annual license fee of $2,300.00.
(1) Each application for an "on -sale" in-
toxicating liquor license shall be accom-
panied by a site plan drawn to scale show-
ing the area and dimensions of the
proposed licensed premise.
(2) The annual fee for an "off -sale" in-
toxicating liquor license shall be $100.00.
(3) The annual fee for a special club
license shall be $100.00.
(4) The annual' fee for a "Sunday sale"
license shall be $200.00.
SECTION 3:
Section 1005.05. Non -intoxicating malt
liquor -License Required, is hereby amen-
ded by repealing the matter indicated by
ike-outs and adding the matter in-
..ated by parentheses as follows:
(c) All applications for licenses shall be
given to the ADM (City) Clerk at the
MAO (City) Hall and shall be accom-
panied by the required fee. The annual fee
for an on -sale license shall be 090
($100.00). The annual fee for an oft -sale
license shall be0.0jl ($10.00).
SECTION 4:
Section 1000:15. License Fees is amen-
ded by the addition of the following:
Subdivision 5. In lieu of payment, in full
as required by Subdivision 1 hereof, the
elication for an "on -safe" intoxicating
liquor license may be accompanied by
one-half of the required fee provided
however, that the remaining one-half of
the required fee be paid on or before
December lst of the same calendar year.
SECTION 5:
This Ordinance becomes effective upon
its passage and publication. Passed by the
City Council of the City of Medina this 2nd
day of May, 1978.
