Resolution Approving a Professional Services Agreement
with MSA Professional Services for the
Pleasant Valley High School Building Additions Project
WHEREAS, the City is aware of Pleasant Valley High School's intention to add buildings and expand
parking on the property located at 604 Belmont Road; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to have the City's engineers, MSA Professional Services,
oversee the storm water and erosion control aspects of the project; and,
WHEREAS, MSA Professional Services has proposed to oversee these aspects of the project for a lump
sum fee of $6,500.00 with an approximate start date of October 24, 2023, and an approximate completion
date of November 15, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the City will seek reimbursement from Pleasant Valley High School for MSA Professional
Services' invoices pertaining to this project and any remediation needed; and,
WHEREAS, upon MSA's review of the site plans, Pleasant Valley High School could be required to make
changes to storm water management and its impacts on -site; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is #001-298-6407 Storm Sewer Engineering.
NOW THERE FOR IT BE RESOLVED that:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with MSA Professional Services to
oversee the project proposed by Pleasant Valley High School for a lump sum fee of $6,500.
Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby ordered to update City Council at future meetings regarding his
review of the Pleasant Valley High School Building Additions project.
Section 3. The Clerk is hereby ordered to invoice Pleasant Valley High School for all MSA Professional
Services invoices pertaining to this project in an amount not to exceed $6,500.
