2016 Acoustic on the Green Summer Concert Series Artist
Lineup Features Audience Favorites
Leesburg, VA (March 17, 2016) – Organizers
of Acoustic on the Green, Leesburg’s annual
outdoor summer concert series, have
announced the artist lineup for the 2016
season.
“Due in large part to audience response, we
are bringing back the artists that have made
the series so successful,” said founder
Stilson Greene. “I wish we had more
Saturday nights to work with because there
just aren’t enough to present the talent we
have available on our roster. This year, after a knockout performance in her AotG debut last
year, we are bringing back Mary Ann Redmond. We are also happy to welcome back
powerhouse vocalist Michael Sheppard. Michael, after a few years’ absence, finally worked out
a date that fits into his busy touring schedule this year.”
“These artists have built a relationship with Leesburg and the audience,” Stilson continued. “On
many Saturday nights, it’s an atmosphere of a family reunion since most of the artists have
roots in Leesburg and Loudoun County. The performers always bring their A -game and in some
instances, special guests join them onstage. As always, due to our sponsors, partners, and the
Town of Leesburg’s commitment, Acoustic on the Green remains free to the public.”

The free concerts begin at 7:00pm on the Leesburg Town Green (25 West Market Street) each
Saturday night, starting on June 11, 2016, and running through August 27, 2016 (no concert on
July 2nd). Lawn chairs and blankets are suggested. No smoking, alcoholic beverages will be
allowed and no pets, please. Free parking is available in the Town Hall Parking Garage. In case
of inclement weather, the show will be moved to the lower level of the Leesburg Town Hall.
The interactive web poster for the series will go live on May 16, 2016, with all concert
information, artists' bios, songs, links and sponsors at www.acousticonthegreen.com.
Founded in 2004, the Acoustic on the Green summer concert series was named a “Best Bet for
Summer Concerts” by Washingtonian Magazine. The concert series is a joint production
between the Town of Leesburg and the Leesburg businesses and individuals who advertise in
the weekly program guides.
