Leesburg Mayor David Butler to Present “State of the Town”
Address at Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 29, 2016
Leesburg, VA (March 17, 2016) – At the Leesburg Town Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 29,
2016, Mayor David Butler will present the first “State of the Town” address.
“Too often, Leesburg residents only hear about Town Council decisions when it is something
that affects their own neighborhood,” explained Mayor Butler. “With this State of the Town
address, residents will hear a summary of how Leesburg has changed over the years, where we
are today, and what they can expect over the next few years, including the Town Council’s
plans for this year and beyond to improve the quality of life here in Leesburg.”
Residents are welcome to attend the Council Meeting and hear Mayor Butler’s State of the
Town address in person, beginning at 7:30pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. Council meetings
take place in the second floor Council Chamber in the Leesburg Town Hall (25 West Market
Street). For those unable to attend the meeting, all Council meetings are broadcast on the
Town’s government access television channel (Comcast channel 67 and Verizon FiOS channel
35). In addition, viewers may stream the speech live from the Town’s website at
www.leesburgva.gov/webcasts.
