Downtown Leesburg Mid-block Crosswalk Installation
Scheduled for Wednesday Night, March 23, 2016
Leesburg, VA (March 22, 2016) – Beginning at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, South
King Street in downtown Leesburg will be closed between Market Street and Loudoun Street
for installation of a raised mid-block crosswalk. Work is expected to completed by 12am on
Thursday, March 24, 2016.
Detours will be in place during the street closure. Patrons of the restaurants on that block of
South King Street are encouraged to park in the Town Hall Parking Garage.
The mid-block crosswalk is one of the last elements of Phase III of the Downtown
Improvements capital improvement project. Street trees and new streetlights will be instal led
