Mayor Gilbertson called the adjourned meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 a.m. 2. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen - Merritt, Tyrell, Gilbertson ABSENT: Councilmen - Briggs, Harker ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Koski, City Treasurer Buchan, Administrative Assistant Lantz and Congressman John H. Rousselot (Calif. 24th) NEW BUSINESS: 3. FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING. Congressman Rousselot discussed with members of the Council, various aspects of Federal Revenue Sharing, indicating that the Federal Government has no surplus funds to share with states and municipalities and did not feel the program of revenue sharing would be enacted by Congress. Other aspects of taxation were also discussed, including the importance of local governments' role in providing public services. 4. ADJOURNMENT: On motion of Councilman Merritt, seconded by Mayor Gilbertson and carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m. Next regular meeting of the Council will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 1971, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
