Present were: Messrs. Faulkner, Hart, Printup and Taplin Absent: Mr. White Also present were W. H. Webb, Village Manager; Mary T. Wetterer, Village Clerk; and Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney. The Council then considered the possibility of adding an injector to the water line serving us from North Miami Beach for the purpose of adding fluoride to this water supply. Dr. Richard Mathewson, who has been actively engaged in research for fluoridation of water, spoke to the Council regarding the benefits derived from water thus treated. After questioning Dr. Mathewson, the Council was of the opinion that the Village Manager would get some figures on the actual cost of installation and operation of the injector before deciding. Mr. Anderson suggested that inasmuch as this water was also used by the Town of Bay Harbor Islands that their consent be obtained before proceeding. Mr. Hart then suggested the matter be tabled until next month. Mr. Webb told the Council that Dade County had passed an Ordinance last July which provided that all communities in the County would provide them with a schedule of Capital Improvements over a six year period. He said that he would like to simply write them a letter stating that none were contemplated in Bel Harbour. The Council agreed to this. Mr. Webb said he had an inquiry from the new owners of White Cab Company regarding the application now on file for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. Mr. Anderson said that the application would be renewed but that we should get the necessary information on the new principals. The Village Manager told the Council that in the past all taxpayers had received copies of our annual audit, but now that we do not have a taxroll for securing the names, it will be very difficult to trace the people. The Council decided that in future years the audit would be sent to the Real Property Owners and that mention would be made in the Newsletter that copies of the audit were available in the Village Hall for anyone who desired one. On motion of Mr. Faulkner, seconded by Mr. Printup, the meeting was adjourned at 10:35 A. M. ATTEST: Village Clerk Mayor December 10, 1966
