COMMISSION MEETING
March 8, 1972
Present: WILLIAM F. KOCH, JR. Mayor
JOHN G. HART Vice -Mayor
WILLIAM S. LaPORTE, Commissioner
GEORGE W. WALKER Commissioner
Also attending: R. D. Worthing
1, Mayor Koch called the meeting to order.
2. The Mayor informed those present that this 'Meeting' had been
called for the purpose of canvassing the "RETURNS" of the Gen-
eral Election held on Tuesday, March 7, 1972.
3. The Town Manager reported to the Commission that there were 181
Registered Voters on the Registration Books and that 143 VOTES
had been cast through the Voting Machine No. 127077.
The Commission was further advised that the "Results" of the E-
lection, as certified by the Clerk and Inspectors thereof, re-
flect the following:
HART, John G., 104 Votes
KOCH, William F.,Jr. 116 It
LaPORTE, William S., 106 If
SKELLY, Gertrude E., 75 "
WALKER, George W., 117 It
WHITNEY, Henry N., 94 "
It was thereupon determined by the Commission, acting as the
Canvassing Board, on motion of Mr. LaPorte and seconded by Mr.
Walker, that, in the absence of any declaration of a contest by
any of the candidates in said Election, the following were duly
elected to serve as Commissioners for three years beginning on
March 21, 19720 by unanimous approval of the Commission;:
Mr. John G. Hart; Mr. William F. Koch, Jr: Mr.
William S. LaPorte; Mr. George W. Walker; and
Mr. Henry N. Whitney.
There being no further business to come
meeting was thereupon adjorned.
