AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICES INSTITUTE’S
JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (JAIBG)
WHEREAS, The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute’s Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Program (JAIBF) has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to be forwarded to the Richmond Community Schools to hire a consultant and implement on-line credit courses for expelled
students.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute’s Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program (JAIBG) to be
forwarded to the Richmond Community Schools to hire a consultant and implement on-line credit courses for expelled students.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Twenty-three Thousand Eight Hundred and One Dollars ($23,801.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to be forwarded to the Richmond Community Schools to hire a consultant and implement on-line credit courses for
expelled students.
Passed and adopted this 16th day of July, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
