Overnight Work on Downtown Leesburg Crosswalks Will
Require Street Closures April 10 through 22, 2016
Leesburg, VA (April 8, 2016) – Certain streets in downtown Leesburg will be closed or reduced
to one lane during overnight hours from Sunday, April 10, 2016, through Thursday, April 22,
2016, for the installation of thermoplastic brick-pattern crosswalk markings at the following
locations:
South King Street and Loudoun Street
King Street and Market Street
Mid-block crosswalk on South King Street between Market and Loudoun streets
On-street parking area on the west side of South King Street, between Market and
Loudoun streets
Loudoun Street at the Loudoun County Government Center
Harrison Street at Loudoun Street
East End Triangle
East Market Street and Catoctin Circle
Work is scheduled to begin each night at 7:00pm and conclude each morning by 5:00am. No
work will be done on Friday night, April 15, or Saturday night, April 16.
Detours will be in place during street closures. Drivers should exercise caution and follow traffic
control directions.
