HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 609 - Building Standards Advisory CommitteeORDINANCE NO. 609 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, CREATING THE BUILDING STANDARDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND PROVIDING FOR ITS DUTIES; CLARIFYING WHICH BOARDS ARE PERMANENT BOARDS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. McCall City Code section 1-10-1 is amended by adding to the list appearing in it the following: Building Standards Advisory Committee. The membership, duties and responsibilities of this Committee shall be assigned by motion, as provided in such section 1-10-1. Section 2. McCall City Code section 1-10-2 is repealed and re-enacted to read as follows: 1-10-2. PERMANENT BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS. There shall be the following permanent boards and commissions whose existence, duties and responsibilities are provided by the Idaho Code: (A) The Planning and Zoning Commission further provided for in Title 3; and (B) The Library Board constituted as provided in the Idaho Code, Title 33, Chapter 26. Section 3. McCall City Code section 2-1-18 is repealed and re-enacted to read as follows: 2-1-18. BUILDING BOARD OF EXAMINERS AND APPEALS. There shall be a Building Board of Examiners and Appeals, to be the "board of appeals" specified in Section 204 of the Uniform Building Code. The City Council designates itself as the Building Board of Examiners and Appeals. Appeals from decisions of the Building Official shall be presented first to the Building Standards Advisory Committee; an appeal may be taken from the decisions of the Advisory Committee to the City Council; the procedure for appeals set out in the Uniform Building Code shall be applicable to both appeals. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law. Passed and approved i), 1992.
