Re: Discharge of Firearms in the City Limits
After several experiences under the new criminal code in which we had to explain to a defendant
that firing a gun in the City is disorderly conduct, the Judge, police, and I agree that it would be
nice to fix the ordinance in another area to make it plain to all.
Similarly, while we prohibit the discharge of liquid or solid waste onto the ground, and while the
judge agrees that that covers urination and defecation, certain defendants insist on hearing it from
Herself, because they do not see urine & feces in the ordinance by those sorts of words. Hence
we are suggesting a technical fix to make it more plain.
