AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, RELATING TO
ALTERNATE DAY SPRINKLING AND TO ORDINANCE 607; CLARIFYING THAT
SECTION 8-1-30A OF THE McCALL CITY CODE, AS ADOPTED BY SECTION 5
OF ORDINANCE 607, WAS NOT INSERTED INTO THE CITY CODE BY THE
CODIFIERS, AND WAS NOT RECODIFIED BY ORDINANCE 632, AND IS
RATIFIED AND ADOPTED AGAIN AS McCALL CITY CODE SECTION 6-2-265;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL,
IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds that Ordinance 607, among other things, instituted alternate
day sprinkling, but that the codification into Chapter 1 of Title 8 of Ordinance 607
did not include Section 5 thereof relating to alternate day sprinkling; that the
subsequent recodification of Chapter 1 of Title 8 into Title 6 thus did not address
Section 5 of Ordinance 607; that the City's water pumps are currently working at
maximum capacity; that irrigation is a major component of the use of City water;
and that maintenance of water supply pressures requires a reduction in
simultaneous irrigation.
Section 2. The McCall City Code is amended by adding thereto the following section:
6-2-265: ALTERNATE DAY SPRINKLING: Irrigation of residential and
commercial lawns and landscaping using City water, by sprinklers or otherwise,
shall occur only on alternate days. City water may be used for such irrigation at
addresses with an odd number only on odd numbered days of the month, and at
addresses with an even number only on even numbered days of the month.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as required by law.

NOTICE OF ORDINANCE NO. 665, a copy of which is enclosed hereto and is
a part hereof, was published in said newspaper once a week for one consecu-
tive week in the regular and entire issue of every number there of during the
period of time of publication, and was published in the newspaper proper and
not in a supplement; and that publication of such notice began July 21, 1994
and ended July 21, 1994.
