Resolution Declaring Certain Property Surplus and
Authorizing the Disposal Thereof
WHEREAS, the City Clerk/Treasurer wishes to begin using council chambers for all public meetings and
hearings; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate that plan, the large wood table in the center of council chambers would
need to be declared surplus property and removed from the room; and,
WHEREAS, the City is the sole and outright owner of the table; and,
WHEREAS, this surplus property will be listed for sale through an on-line governmental surplus site, and
if unsold after a reasonable period, will be donated to a local charity.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. The large wood table in council chambers is declared surplus property.
Section 2. City staff are authorized to execute its sale in accordance with all applicable federal, state,
and City guidelines, along with its removal.
Passed, approved, and adopted this 9th day of January 2024.
