Resolution Approving Funds for the Annual
Riverdale Firefighter Appreciation Dinner
WHEREAS, the Riverdale Fire Department wishes to recognize and honor its volunteer firefighters with
an annual dinner; and,
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that this expense will be no more than $2,000; and,
WHEREAS, per Resolution 2022-94, Resolution Setting a Policy for Certain Public Purpose Activities,
passed on November 22, 2022, the expenditure of public funds for employee and volunteer recognition
in excess of $250 requires Council approval; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is #001-150-6491 RFD Appreciation.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1: The Riverdale Fire Department is authorized to utilize up to $2,000 from line item 001-150-
6491 for an appreciation dinner in FY24.
