APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
GENOVA BURNS & VERNOIA
WHEREAS, the Borough ofCarteret is in need ofspecia1ized legal services with regard
to various 1abor matters; and
WHEREAS, the law firm of Genova Bums & Vemoia possess the requisite experience
and expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that the law firm of Genova Bums & Vemoia is hereby appointed specia1
labor counsel for a maximum cost not to exceed $25,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract is awarded as a professional service
pursuant toN.J.S.A. 40A:II-2(6)and shall be advertised as required by law.
