JOHN K. WHITTEMORE COMMISSIONER
Also Attending: William E. Gwynn - Town Manager, Barbara Gwynn -
Deputy Town Clerk, Mr. Larry M. Ball, Mr. W. A.

Workshop Meeting was called to order at 9:05 A.M. by Mayor Koch.
The announce purpose of this Meeting was to hear the up to date
information on the proposed drainage project on Polo Drive and
Old School Road.
Mr. Cornnell presented maps and data which would accomplish this
proposed drainage. Mr. Cornnell was instructed to prepare estimated
cost per property owner so that notices could be sent out by
certified mail as early as possible, it was the hopes of the
Commission that we could get written or oral replies to these
notices from at least a majority of the property owners
in time for the next regular meeting, it was also hoped that the
project could be started and completed this summer. Mr. Cornnell
also advised the Commissioners that he had prepared the legal
description for the desired easement through Mr. and Mrs. James G.
Davis' property to Elsie's pond, this information to be furnished
to Attorney John Randolph. There was also a general discussion of
drainage project itself regarding elevation, sizes of pipe and
possible future drainage problems that may arise.
Mayor Koch stated that representatives of the Driftwood Landing
Development had advised him that Mr. Lyons Brown wants to change
the roads in the development from 18' to 16'. The Commission
unanimously agreed that should a formal request be made to the
Commission at any regular meeting they would vote not to accept
these changes and the plans would have to stay as originally
submitted.
Mayor Koch noted that the pine trees along AlA are now being
trimmed for Fla. Power and Light Company and he had observed
numerous dead trees. He instructed the Deputy Town Clerk to
write to the State Department of Transportation to see about
having these trees removed from their right -o£ -way.
There was a brief discussion of the trash dept. personel. The
Town Manager was asked to seek ways of up- grading this dept.
