Mavrr Hart said that the Dade County Community Relations Board had
requested that we support the Good Neighbor Campaign and had sent a copy of a
Resolution passed by the Dade County Commission, Mr. Hart said he felt we
should pass a similar resolution. On motion of Mr. Faulkner, seconded by Mr.
Taplin, and unanimously voted
RESOLUTION NO. 149
supporting the Goad Neighbor Policy was adopted.
Mr. Taplin asked about the status of the Collins Avenue drainage, Mr.
Webb said that the project was listed as being currently worked on in the last
State Road Department Bulletin.
On motion of Mr. Printup, seconded by Mr. White, the meeting was adjourned
at 10:30 A.M.

The Council of Bel Harbour Village wet Saturday, February 25, 1967, at
9:30 A. M. in the Village Hall.
Present were: Messrs. Faulkner, Hart, Printup, Taplin and White
Also present were W. H. Webb, Village Manager; Mary T. Wetterer, Village
Clerk; and Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney.
On motion of Mr. Printup, seconded by Mr. Faulkner, the minutes of the
previous meeting of January 28, 1967, were approved as submitted.
Mr. Webb reported that due to the engineers checking on some extras on
the rater contract, the final figures were not ready.
Mayor Hart said he had been requested by the Florida Public Safety
Committee to appoint a Safety Council for Bal Harbour. He then appointed
Councilman Faulkner and Police Chief Dupuy to this committee.
Mr. Webb mentioned that we had a request from the Americana Hotel for
use of the garage area for convention purposes for one convention daring April
which had been omitted from their previous request. On motion of Mr. Taplin,
seconded by Mr. Faulkner, the request was approved.

The Council was informed that the bi-annual election time was beginning
and that en election schedule had been given to all the members. The Clerk •aid
that Districts 1, 2, 4, and 5 ■ere open due to Mr. Landis' resignation.
Mr. Hart then issued a Proclamation for Patriotic Brotherhood Rally Day
as requested by the sponsors, Chase Federal Savings end Loan Association.
Mr. Anderson reviewed the amendment to our pension trust agreement regarding
length of service for eligibility. After discussion on motion of Mr. Printup,
seconded by Mr. Taplin, and unanimously voted

was adopted, subject to approval by the Internal Revenue Service.
The Village Manager said he had several items to discuss with the Council.
He told the■ that he had advertised the Police Boat for sale end will replace it
with a smaller fiberglass boat. Due to an error by the Herald in the ad the
bids will be due this March 3rd.
He said that he had also been checking on a new tractor with a street
sweeping attachment which is badly needed due to the new surface on the streets
which holds the sand in the gutters. He explained that money for this purchase
is available in the Equipment rental fund.
Third, that during March the Council can review applications for Certificates
of Public Convenience and Necessity. He asked them to think about this matter as
our three certificates for taxi cabs ars now held by one owner, the Segal brothers.
Mr. Taplin said he would have his doorman survey all the hotels and apartments to
ascertain the condition of the cabs now in service and availibility.
There being no further business on motion duly made and seconded the meeting
was adjourned at 9t55 A. M.
