HomeMy Public PortalAboutr 05:071 ~eznlutinu n£ t4e ~nrnuB4 nf <!Im:teret, ~t Jj.. 05-71 No. Date of Adoption February 17, 2005 RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, NEW JERSEY APPROVING THE 2005-2006 CDBG PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Borough ofCarteret has been allocated $101,700.00 from the Middlesex County Housing and Development Program for 2005 - 2006 CDBG year; WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Monday, January 31, 2005 to solicit comments md recommendations from the residents of the Borough of Carteret; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Board has had the opportunity to discus> the proposals with the Mayor and Council and representatives to th~ Middlesex County Housing and Community Development Program; and WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Community Development Board that the follow.ng programs meet the guidelines of the Citizen's Participation List of Eligible Activities: Women Aware Domestic Violence Volunteer First Aid Squad Mini G¡:antlMicro Loan Program School Low/Mod Assistance Kiddie Keep Well Camp AIM Afterschool/Outreach Program Handicap Seruor Sidewalks/Curb Cuts Mayor'~ Office Senior Citizen Outreach $ 1,500.00 $ 500.00 $50,000.00 $18,700.00 $ 1,000.00 $ 500.00 $14,500.00 $15,000.00 $101,700.00 WHEREAS, the above programs were unanimously approved by the Community Development Board at the Public Hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret hereby consent to the submission of the above named pmposals.
