The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met March 3, 2020, in the Small Conference
Room of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order by
Bill Luebbert at 4:02 p.m. A quorum was present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE JANUARY 7, 2020 MEETING
A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Sam Thomas to approve the minutes of the
January 7, 2020 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands.
REVIEW EXAM TESTING APPLICATIONS
• A motion was made by Sam Thomas and seconded by Joel Vanderslice to approve Josh
Huff, Clinton Loehner, and Dylan Drennan to take the Journeyman Electrician Exam.
Motion passed by a show of hands.
REVIEW LICENSE APPLICATIONS
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Joel Vanderslice to approve; Mike
Haller, Greg Bedsworth, Adam Holterman, Alden Hallford, Ryan Meyer, and Zachary
Fischer to receive their Journeyman Electrician License. Motion passed by show of
hands.
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Sam Thomas to approve Jared
Botteron to receive his Master Electrician License. Motion passed by show of hands.
• A motion was made by Joel Vanderslice and seconded by Jim Gooch to approve Kenneth
Naumann to receive his Master Electrician License. Motion passed by show of hands.

OLD BUSINESS
Members reviewing the 2017 Electrical Code wish to discuss suggested changes at a
later date.
NEW BUSINESS
• Members discussed the idea of revising the code to impose a stiffer penalty for
contractors who fail to obtain a permit before starting the work.
o Members inquired of the status of the state legislation that was filed that proposed the
implementation of a State Mechanical License. The Building Official stated that the City
of Jefferson would like to implement a City Mechanical License before it becomes a
State of Missouri requirement.
SCHEDULE NEXT MEETING
The Electrical Review Board's next meeting will be Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Board Members shall
meet at 4:00 p.m. in the small conference room (aka Thomas Jefferson Conference Room).
ADJOURN
With no other business, the Board of Electrical Examiners and Review Meeting adjourned at
5:00 p.m.
