CITY COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, DECEMBER 7, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the December 7, 2020 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at
5:45 P.M. to review the agenda.
Due to COVID-19/social distancing recommendations, the meeting was held virtually
and streamed live on Facebook.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Schreiber, Vogt,
Ward, and Wiseman
Absent: Lester
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Hensley will lead the prayer.
Agenda
- Mayor Tergin will request a motion to amend the agenda, changing the order
of Items 4(a.) and 4(b.) under Miscellaneous. The COVID-19 pandemic
update will be taken up before the presentation of the 2020 Kevin Meinhardt
Award to Holly Stitt.
Presentations from Staff, Consultants & Invited Guests
- Missy Bonnot, Interim Director for the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce
and representatives from JCMG will present a JCMG property tax incentives
request.
- City Attorney Ryan Moehlman will present an update on the MSP
redevelopment project. Representatives from Arcturis, Chesterfield Hotels,
and Paric Corporation will also speak on the project.
Lincoln University Student Representative Update
- Recently selected student representative Stacy Landis will join the me eting
for an introduction and university updates.
Consent Agenda Items
- There were no questions at this time.

Bills Introduced
- City Staff presented their respective introduced bills. Staff has requested a
suspension of the rules for third reading and passage on both of the
introduced bills.
Councilmember Lester joined the meeting at 5:50 P.M.

- City Staff presented their respective pending bills.
Resolutions
- City Staff presented their respective resolutions.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 5:59 P.M.
