Board of Electrical Examiners and Review

The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met May 7, 2019, in the Small Conference Room
of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order by
Bill Luebbert at 4:05 p.m. A quorum was present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE March Sth, 2019 MEETING
A motion was made by Joel Vanderslice and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to approve the
minutes of the March 5, 2019 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands.
REVIEW EXAM TESTING APPLICATIONS
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to approve Seth
Forck to take the Journeyman Electrician Exam. Motion passed by a show of hands.
REVIEW LICENSE APPLICATIONS
• A motion was made by Chris Bruemmer and seconded by Jim Gooch to approve Ryan
Bopp to receive his Journeyman Electrician License. Motion was tabled until the City
receives proof he has a passing score of 75% or higher, on a more thorough Prometric
Exam.
• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Joel Vanderslice to approve Fred
Brunston to receive his Journeyman Electrician License. Motion passed by show of
hands.
• A motion was made by Joel Vanderslice and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to approve
Scott Herod to receive his Journeyman Electrician License. Motion passed by show of
hands.

• A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Joel Vanderslice to approve Nicholas
Pesce to receive his Journeyman Electrician License. Motion was tabled until the City
receives proof he has received a passing score of 75% or higher, on his Prometric Exam.
OLD BUSINESS
• Bill Luebbert informed Members that the proposed bill regarding individual new
licensing renewal & insurance requirements for Electrical Contractors, is now
proceeding through the approval process on the City Council's Calendar.
NEW BUSINESS
• Members discussed the need for the City to require an Electrical Permit when light
fixtures are retrofited inorder to ensure they are properly installed.
SCHEDULE NEXT MEETING
The Electrical Review Board's next meeting will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019. Board Members are
to meet at 4:00 p.m. in the Small Conference Room (aka Thomas Jefferson Conference Room).
ADJOURN
With no other business, the Board of Electrical Examiners and Review Meeting adjourned at
4:50 p.m.
