AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
BLOCK GRANT (LLEBG) PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the US Department of Justice Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) Program has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to purchase additional in car mobile date units for the police vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the US Department of Justice Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) Program to purchase additional in car
mobile data units for the police vehicles.
The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Fifty-two Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-nine Dollars ($52,559.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to purchase additional in car mobile data units for the police vehicles.
Passed and adopted this 16th day of July, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
