AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE 2005 NEIGHBORHOOD
PRESERV ATION PROGRAM GRANT/LOAN AGREEMENT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $125,000.00
WHEREAS, Borough of Carteret has received a 2005 Neighborhood
Preservation Program Grant Agreement (hereinafter "NPP") and in the amount of
$125,000.00 from the New Jersey Department for Community Affairs (hereinafter
"NJDCA") and
WHEREAS, NJDCA has required that the Borough enter into a Grant/Loan
Agreement setting forth the specific tenns and conditions for said grant/10an to
the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Attorney has reviewed said grant/10an agreement and
has found the same to be acceptable
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the Mayor and appropriate Borough Officials are
hereby authorized to execute the attached NPP Grant/Loan
Agreement in the amount of$125,000.00.
2. That the appropriate Borough Officja1s are hereby
authorized and directed to take the necessary actions to
implement the tenns of said Grant/Loan Agreement.
3. That an origina1 and copy of the executed Grant/Loan
Agreement, as well as any requested ancillary documents,
be forwarded to the Office of Grant Development in the
NJDCA.
Adopted this 17th day of February, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on February 18, 2005.
