AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE WASHING TON
AVENUE FAÇADE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for
the Washington Avenue Façade Program; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Architect for the project has advised the Borough
that Cypreco Industries Inc. 1420 Ninth Avenue P.O. Box 822, Neptune, N.J. 07753 has
submitted the lowest bid for said contract, for the desired options, in the amount of
$703,000.00, as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing
Department; and
WHEREAS, the Architect has reviewed the above bid proposal and has recommended
the award of said contract to Cypreco for the Washington A venue Façade Program; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
I. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with Cypreco for the Washington Avenue Façade
Program pursuant to the Borough Consulting Architect's
recommendation of award, a copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part of hereof, for the sum of$703,000.00, in accordance in all respects
with the request for proposals and bid on same, for the seJected options.
2. That the Borough reserves the right to delete from the contract the work
to be performed on any of the specified buildings and to receive a credit
for the same equal to the bid amount for said work.
3. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, Borough Attorney, and Borough's Consulting
Architect for distribution to Cypreco.
