AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
APPRAISAL CONSULTANTS CORP.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional appraisal services with
regard to the valuation of certain real properties constituting what is commonly referred
to as the Driftway within the Carteret Landfill Reclamation Improvement District
designated for acquisition by the Borough; and
WHEREAS, Jon Brody of Appraisal Consultants Corp., 293 Eist:nhower Parkway,
Suite 200, Livingston, NJ 07039 possesses the requisite training, experience and expertise
to provide said professional appraisal services; and
WHEREAS, Jon Brody has proposed to perform the above services at a cost not to
exceed $17,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of' Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
I. That Jon Brody of Appraisal Consultants Corp. is hereby retained as a
licensed, professional appraiser in the above referenced matters at cost not
to exceed $17,500.00.
2. That this award is made as a professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A 40A:II-5(1)(a).
Adopted this 17th day of February, 2005 and
certified as a true copy of the original on
February 18, 2005.
