King and Church Streets to Be Closed on Sunday, May 29,
2016, for Corpus Christi Procession
Rolling street closures will be in effect from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
Leesburg, VA (May 23, 2016) – Saint John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church will hold an
Eucharistic Procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi on Sunday, May 29, 2016. The procession
route will begin at the church, travel through the church property, down Church Street to the
Loudoun County Courthouse and then back to the church on North King Street.
The procession will begin immediately following the Spanish Mass at 2:15pm. Readings and
prayers will be offered at stations along the procession route. Saint John the Apostle Roman
Catholic Church is located at 101 Oakcrest Manor Drive NE, just north of downtown Leesburg.
This event requires Church Street to be closed from the Pennington Parking Lot at North Street
to East Market Street and King Street to be closed from East Market Street to Oakcrest Manor
Drive. The streets will be closed and reopened in stages as the procession approaches and
passes each intersection.
