THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1997, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $10,281,560 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSE AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF MCCALL FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR, AUTHORIZING A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY AND SPECIFYING THE OBJECTS AND PURPOSES FOR WHICH SAID APPROPRIATION IS MADE. BE IT ORDAINED by'the Mayor and City Council of the City of McCall, Valley County, Idaho, as follows: Section 1: That the sum of $10,281,560 be, and the same is appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of McCall, Valley County, Idaho for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997. Section 2: The Objects and purposes for which such appropriation is made, and the amount of each object and purpose is as follows: GENERAL FUND: Mayor and Council $52,375 City Manager $100,300 Finance and Administration $417,120 City Attorney $102,420 Community Development $242,790 Police $706,415 Public Works $685;870 Parks $58,440 TOTAL GENERAL FUND $2;365,730 STREETS FUND $512,380 LIBRARY FUND $127,130 RECREATION FUND $101,200 CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND $72,500 DEBT SERVICE FUND $824,000 WATER FUND $1,696,225 SEWER FUND $3,305,060 GOLF FUND $743,540 AIRPORT FUND $518,795 INTERNAL SERVICE FUND $15,000 GRAND TOTAL -ALL FUNDS $10,281,560 Section 3: That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City of McCall be levied in an amount allowed by law, which is $1,884,941 for the general purposes for said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997. Section 4: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage, approval and publication in one issue of the Star News, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of McCall, and the official newspaper of said City. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 50-207, Idaho Code, I keep a correct journal of the proceedings of the Council of the City of McCall, Idaho, and that I am the statutory custodian of all laws, ordinances and resolutions of said City. 2. That the attached Ordinance No. 715 is a true and correct copy of an ordinance passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of McCall held on August 21, 1997, and duly recorded in my office; and 3. That said regular meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance with law and to the extent required by law, due and proper notice of such meeting having been given; that a legal quorum was present throughout the meeting and that a legally sufficient number of members of the Council voted in the proper manner and for the passage of said ordinance; and that all other requirements and proceedings incident to the proper adoption and passage of said ordinance have been duly fulfilled, carried out and observed; and that I am authorized to execute this certificate. Tom Grote Notary Public for Idaho Residing at McCall, Idaho Commission Expires: 1999 i NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED, AMENDMENT TO THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 (FY 98) CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO A public hearing, pursuant to Idaho Code, 50-1002, will be held for consideration of the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997 and ending September 30, 1998 (FY96). The hearing will be held at the lower level of City Hall, 216 East Park Street, McCall, Idaho at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, August 21, 1997. All interested persons are invited to appear and show cause, if any, why such budget should or should not be adopted. Copies of the proposed City budget in detail•are available for inspection at the City Hall during regular office hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays) or the McCall Public Library during regular hours (11:00 AM to 6:00 PM weekdays' and 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturdays). City Hall and the McCall Public Library are accessible to ! persons with disabilities. Anyone desiring accomodations for disabilities related to the budget documents or to the hearing, please contact City Hall at 634-7142 at least 72 hours prior to the I public hearing.
