Resolution Authorizing a Seasonal Worker for the Summer 2024 Season
WHEREAS, the Public Works Operations Manager requires assistance from a Seasonal Worker for the
2024 season; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Operations Manager plans to hire one employee for up to 34 hours per
week, or two employees for up to 17 hours per week each, at an hourly rate of $17.50, from May 13, 2024
through September 27, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, this position is not eligible for IPFRS, holiday pay, vacation, sick leave, or any other benefits,
and is a seasonal/temporary position; and,
WHEREAS, the funding sources for this action are:
50% #001-430-6010 Parks wages
30% #001-650-6010 City Hall wages
10% #001-298-6010 Storm Sewer wages
10% #110-210-6010 Roads, Bridges, and Sidewalks wages.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. The Public Works Operations Manager is authorized to hire a Summer Worker for the 2024
season per the details outlined above.
