HomeMy Public PortalAbout2024-017 Resolution Authorizing the Addition of an Admin Assistant Position to City Hall StaffRESOLUTION 2024-017 Resolution Authorizing the Addition of an Administrative Assistant Position to City Hall Staff WHEREAS, the City Clerk/Treasurer requires assistance from an Administrative Assistant; and, WHEREAS, the Administrative Assistant position description was updated via Resolution 2024-016 Resolution Approving Revisions to the Administrative Assistant Position Description, on February 13, 2024; and, WHEREAS, the City Clerk/Treasurer plans to hire one permanent Administrative Assistant at an hourly rate to be determined, 25 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in addition to occasional additional hours to cover staff absences and community events, beginning July 1, 2025, or as soon thereafter as can be hired; and, WHEREAS, this position is eligible for IPERS and part-time holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave and is a permanent position; and, WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is #001-620-6010 Clerk's Office wages. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that: Section 1. The City Clerk/Treasurer is authorized to hire a permanent Administrative Assistant per the details outlined above. Passed, approved, and adopted this 13th day of February 2024.
