COUNCIL MINUTES
SPECIAL JOINT MEETING WITH PLANNING COMMISSION
JUNE 22, 1971
INITIATION:
1. Mayor Gilbertson called the special meeting of the City Council
to order at 9:15 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Councilmen - Briggs, Harker, Merritt, Tyrell, Gilbertson;
Planning Commissioners - Dennis, Garvin, Lawson, Startin,
Atkins
ABSENT: Councilmen -None; Commissioners - None
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Koski, Assistant City Attorney White,
Planning Director Dragicevich.
NEW BUSINESS:
3. ZONING ADMINISTRATOR vs. ZONING MODIFICATION COMMITTEE
Mayor Gilbertson advised that the special joint meeting with
the Planning Commission had been called for the purpose of
discussing Planning Commission Resolution No. 71 -401PC
recommending establishment of a Zoning Modification Committee,
and Ordinance No. 71 -320, establishing a Zoning Administrator,
which had had first reading by the City Council on March 16, 1971.
Following discussion of the matter, the Planning Commission
was instructed to prepare and finalize the original proposal
for Zoning Modification Committee to be forwarded to the City
Council. Assistant City Attorney White and Planning Director
Dragicevich were directed to prepare a new ordinance, based
on the recommendations of the Planning Commission as set forth
in Resolution No. 71- 401PC.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
The special joint meeting of the Council - Planning Commission
adjourned at 10:00 p.m., on order of Mayor Gilbertson.
