HomeMy Public PortalAbout053-2001 - General Ordinance - Amends Section 151.02(i) of the City CodeORDINANCE NO. 53 - 2001 A GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RESTATING SECTION 151.02 (ì) OF THE CITY CODE WHEREAS, Chapter 151 of the City of Richmond Code regulates housing within the City; and WHEREAS, Section 151.02 (ì) defines dwelling for the purposes of that chapter; and WHEREAS, said definition specifically excludes mobile homes located in duly licensed mobile home parks; and WHEREAS, It is desirable to eliminate the above-referenced exclusion so that all mobile homes within the City shall be subject to the City’s housing code. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that Section 151.02 (ì) of City of Richmond Codes shall be amended to read as follows except that portions that appear in bold shall appear in normal print and portions that are stricken shall not appear (bold portions represent new additions to Code and stricken portions represent deletions; these are included to facilitate understanding of the changes being made): 151.02 DEFINITIONS (ì) “DWELLING” – A building or structure or part thereof which is wholly or partly used or intended to be used for living and sleeping by one or more human occupants. A dwelling may include one or more dwelling units; (This Section is stricken) However, this code shall have no application to any structure designed originally to be used as and used as and used as a mobile home park located in a duly licensed mobile home park.
