RESOLUTION NO. 88 -2815
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY ADOPTING 1988 EDITION OF THE
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS
CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the City adopted the Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, 1985 Edition on July 15, 1986, by Resolu-
tion No. 86 -2454; and
WHEREAS, members of the Southern California Chapters of the
American Public Works Association and the Associated General Contrac-
tors of California working as a Joint Cooperative Committee have
prepared the 1988 Edition of the Standard Specifications for Public
Works Construction.
WHEREAS, a uniformity of standards will serve to minimize
conflict and confusion in Public Works construction and will tend to
lower construction costs for future public works projects through
competitive bidding by private contractors; and
WHEREAS, the County's Director of Public Works was represented
on the Committee which prepared the 1988 Edition and recommends its
adoption.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City
does hereby find and resolve that:
1. The 1988 Edition of the Standard Specifications for Public
Works Construction prepared by the APWA -AGC Joint Coopera-
tive Committee be adopted.
2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of
this resolution to the County's Director of Public Works.

at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of October, 1988, by the
