Re: National Safe Boating Week
Dear Mr. Koch.
The President of the United States has again proclaimed June 3rd to
June 9th, "National Safe Boating Weekn!
It has been our practice in the past years to request our local
townships to join in this worthwhile celebration by proclaiming the
same.
We would like the Town of Gulf Stream to give the United States
Coast Guard Auxiliary a similar proclamation, as they had done in
1986, 1987 & 1988. I am taking the liberty of enclosing a sample
copy of a past Delray Beach Proclamation that can be used as a for-
mat.
These Proclamation will be utilized when they are displayed at the
malls and public boat ramps where we will have our "Safety Booths"
set up during that week. We will have all kinds of T.V. and News-
paper media coverage.
If you would like to make a formal presentation at one of your Coun-
cil meetings please let us know so we can have proper representation
there to accept the proclamation. If that is not feasible, just
call me and I will pick up the document at City Hall.
Awaiting your favorable reply, I remain.
