RESOLUTION NO. 88 -2829
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY CONCURRING WITH THE COUNTY
HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, Section 25135.1 (b) of the California Health and
Safety Code authorizes the County of Los Angeles to adopt a
county hazardous waste management plan pursuant to guidelines
adopted by the State Department of Health Services; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles elected to prepare a Hazardous Waste Management Plan on
March 10, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, the County Hazardous Waste Management Pan was
circulated for public review from January 6, 1988 to April 21,
1988; and,
WHEREAS, the County Hazardous Waste Management Plan estab-
lishes siting criteria for development of needed off -site hazard-
ous waste management facilities or expansion of existing
facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the County Hazardous Waste Management Plan includes
a map identifying general geographical areas within the cities
and unincorporated area where the siting criteria might be ap-
plied and could potentially be suitable for off -site facilities
(except residuals repositories). This map is for illustrative
purposes only and may be used as a tool to designate lands to
accommodate the siting of off -site hazardous waste management
facilities; and,
WHEREAS, all the comments received through public meet-
ings /hearings and from the cities within the County, various
public agencies, environmental groups, industry /manufacturing
groups and interested parties were reviewed and the County Haz-
ardous Waste Management Plan was completed under the guidance of
the County Hazardous Waste Management Advisory Committee; and,
WHEREAS, the County Hazardous Waste Management Plan is
subject to the approval by the majority of the cities within the
incorporated area of the County; and,
WHEREAS, the County Hazardous Waste Management Plan was
submitted to the City of Temple City for approval; and,
Now, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Temple City approves the County Hazardous Waste Manage-
ment Plan.

APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of December, 1988.
I, Chief Deputy City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do
hereby certify the foregoing resolution, Resolution No. 88 -2829,
was duly approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Temple City, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 6th
day of December, 1988, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Atkins,Breazeal ,Froehle,Gillanders,Swain
NOES: Councilmen -None
