Resolution Authorizing Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce Membership
WHEREAS, the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce presented membership information to Council at its
February 13, 2024, meeting; and,
WHEREAS, there are many benefits of membership in the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce including,
but are not limited to, access to job fairs, ability to post job announcements on the Chamber website,
invitations to member -only events, monthly luncheons, and networking events, coordination of ribbon
cuttings in Riverdale, representation at regional governmental meetings, assistance with economic
development activities, and much more; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends membership in the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce at the "Grow
Level," which includes the above benefits along with hosting and sponsoring Chamber events, business
spotlighting on the Chamber's social media and website, a 30 -day sponsor ad on the Chamber website,
listing and search engine optimization on the Chamber website, and access to member mailing lists; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is #001-699-6210, General Fund, General Government,
Association Dues.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. The Clerk is authorized to purchase a Grow Level membership in the Quad Cities Chamber
of Commerce, to be renewed annually unless otherwise instructed by Council.
