The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:08 p.m. by Chairperson Rev. Robert Robinson. Roll call was taken by Mr. Alfredo J. Lopez III„yHuman Resources Director. ,., Attendance: Chairperson Robinson, and were in attendance. Commissioner Arselia Guerrero-Villariuexa. was PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Led by Commissioner 1. Water Service Worker II Re: 1 a (Utility Worker): Paulette Bradley Mr. Lopez provided an overview of the qualifications desired in the Water Utility Worker classification and insight into the applicant pool. Mr. Lopez discussed the external nature and scope of the recruitment. f' Chairperson Robinson then inquired about the status of any hires from this process, and Mr. Lopez responded with zero/no current vacancies had yet been filled. Staff is/was awaiting approval of the eligibility list. Commissioner Battle inquired about the mathematical formula of the weighted score and discussed possible discrepancies in the overall score. Commissioner Bradley then advised she believe there were discrepancies in the mathematics. She also said that she did not think the numbers changed how the candidates stacked up (1 through 5, for example), but that the numbers were slightly off. The Personnel Board then unanimously approved the list. Mr. Lopez offered to move to a straight 70/30 non-weighted score in the future.
