RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF AUGUST 26, 2015, TO
AMEND THE TIFFIN ZONING ORDINANCE TO ADD A HIGH-DENSITY SINGLE-
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT
Whereas, the Planning & Zoning Commission has realized a need for an additional
residential zoning district with minimum lot sizes of 7000 square feet, and;
Whereas, the Planning & Zoning Commission wishes to recommend this ordinance
change to the City Council of the City of Tiffin as being in the City's best interest,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set a
public hearing for this Ordinance Amendment for August 26, 2015, at 7:00 p.m.
On the 12th day of August, 2015, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced Resolution No. 2015-094, RESOLUTION
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF AUGUST 26, 2015, TO AMEND THE
TIFFIN ZONING ORDINANCE TO ADD A HIGH-DENSITY SINGLE-FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded
by Councilperson Kahler.
Ayes: Kahler, Upton, Bartels, Havens, Ryan
Nays: None.
Absent: None
Whereupon Five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2015-094, RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC
HEARING DATE OF AUGUST 26, 2015, TO AMEND THE TIFFIN ZONING
ORDINANCE TO ADD A HIGH-DENSITY SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONING
DISTRICT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature
thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 12th day of August, 2015.
