Mrs. Burnhal, 4928 N. El Monte, addressed the Council, advising that she was not in favor of the improvement because she feared her shrubs which were an excellent buffer to the busy street would be destroyed, and that the costs for the project would also add to her tax burden. She was advised that only the shrubs which were in the right -of -way would be subject to removal and that staff would check this matter with her to advise how her properties would be affected; and that the project was funded by gas tax monies which had already been accumulated for that purpose and that there would not be an assessment to her property.
