Deputy Town Clerk Barbara Gwynn, Brian Pfeifler.
The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Koch at 9 A.M.
Upon motion by Vice Mayor LaPorte, seconded by Commissioner Bettison the
Commission approved the minutes of the regular meeting February 9, 1979.
Upon motion by Commissioner Clements and seconded by Vice Mayor LaPorte the
Commission accepted the Financial Report for the month of February, 1979.
The following summarization of the Police Report for the month of February,
1979 was submitted to the Commission.
Commissioner Hunter informed the Commission that at the present time he is
unable to report on any new development concerning the purchase of water
lines from the Gulf Stream Golf Club. After a general discussion Mayor
Koch thanked him for his diligence on this matter and instruced him to
continue this endeavor and report at the next commission meeting.
A letter from the Gulf Stream Golf Club outlining repairs presently in
progress along the east side of the intracoastal waterway bank was read to
the Commission. Mr. William Wagner 965 Orchid Lane, Place Au Soleil voiced
his objection to this project due to the unsightly view from his residence.
Mayor Koch instructed the Clerk to contact the Club for a copy of their
permit and any other pertinent information pertaining to this project
including a definite completion date.

Upon motion by Commissioner Hunter, seconded by Commissioner Clements
Ordinance 79 -1 was accepted for 1st reading.
ORDINANCE NO. 79 -1
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, ADOPTING BY
REFERENCE THE 1979 EDITION OF THE SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILDING
CODE AND THE 1977 REVISION THERETO, AND ALL AMENDMENTS MADE TO
DATE IN THE BUILDING CODES NOW IN FORCE AND EFFECT IN PALM BEACH
COUNTY AS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PALM
BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA AND THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT OF SAID COUNTY.
Upon motion by Commissioner Clements, seconded by Commissioner Bettison
resolution 79 -1 was unanimously approved by the Commission.
RESOLUTION 79-
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA OPPOSING THE PROPOSED
WIDENING OF STATE ROAD AlA WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL LIMITS OF THE TOWN
OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, AND AUTHORIZING THE TOWN CLERK TO TRANSMIT
A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION
OF PALM BEACH COUNTY.
A request by Mr and Mrs. Joseph Palmieri, Lot 36, Place Au Soelii to begin
construction of a home before the April 1st moratorium was granted by the
Commission.
The Town Clerk was instructed to inform all public Utilities a municipal
tax should not be collected from residents in the Town of Gulf Stream.
The Police Department was instructed to continue warning boaters on the
Intracoastal Waterway by using bull horns to "SLOW DOWN ".
The Town Clerk was instructed to proceed with the removal of the mailbox
on AlA & Golfview Drive and to place a "No Parking Sign" on the south side
of Golfview Drive near the entrance to AIA. She was also instructed to
have a sketch made showing paving to be placed on south side of Golfview
Drive and AIA.
