ORDINANCE NO. 03-2024
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE,
IOWA, BY AMENDING PROVISIONS PERTAINING TO CITY CLERK
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa:
SECTION 1: SECTION MODIFIED.
Section 18.03 Publication of Minutes of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, is
repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof:
Within fifteen (15) days following a regular or special Council meeting, the Clerk shall cause the
minutes of the proceedings thereof to be published. Such publication shall include a list of all claims
allowed, the gross amount of the claims, along with a summary of all receipts monthly.
SECTION 2: SECTION MODIFIED.
Section 18.10 Issue Licenses and Permits of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, is
repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof:
In the absence of a Public Works Operations Manager, the Clerk shall issue or revoke licenses and
permits when authorized by this Code of Ordinances and keep a record of licenses and permits issued
which shall show date of issuance, license or permit number, official receipt number, name of person to
whom issued, term of license or permit, and purpose for which issued.

SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.
If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such
adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part
thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. WHEN EFFECTIVE.
This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval, and publication as provided
by law.
