COUNCIL MINUTES
August 17, 1971
INITIATION:
1. Mayor Gilbertson called the regular meeting of the City
Council to order at 7 :35 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Councilmen- Briggs, Harker, Merritt, Tyrell, Gilbertson
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Koski
NEW BUSINESS:
3. RESOLUTION NO. 71 -1124: re. Setting a Zero (0) Tax Rate
for the City of TempleCity for Fiscal Year 1971 -72
City Manager Koski presented Resolution No. 71 -1124 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY INDICATING NO CITY TAX RATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1971 -72. Councilman Tyrell moved to adopt, seconded by
Councilman Merritt and carried unanimously.
4. RESOLUTION NO. 71 -1125: re. Levying a Special Assessment
Tax within the Temple'City Municipal Lighting District for
Fiscal Year 1971 -72
City Manager Koski presented Resolution No. 71 -1125 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY LEVYING A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TAX WITHIN THE TEMPLE
CITY MUNICIPAL LIGHTING DISTRICT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1971 -72. Councilman Briggs moved to adopt, seconded by
Councilman Merritt and carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT:
On a motion by Councilman Tyrell, seconded by Councilman
Harker and carried, the meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. to
the next regular meeting of the City Council to be held
on Tuesday, September 7, 1971 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hallo
It had been previously indicated that an adjourned meeting
of the City Council would be held on August 30. This
meeting is now cancelled.
