NS communications CALL FORWARD, ALL CALLS C~ll Forward, Ail C~lls allows a subscriber ~o have all incoming (intragroup and direct inward dhllng (DID) calls automatically foswarded to a preassigned DN. The forwarded-to- DN may be within or outside the customer ~roup (i.e., the local calling group and/or a foreign exchange), or calls may be forwarded to an actencLant. The subscriber can activate and deactivate the feature. The forwarded-to DN is chosen at activation. CALL FORWARD, BUSY-ALL The Call Forward, Busy- All feature provides the capability to automatically forward all calls (incoming or intragsoup) destined to a busy subscriber, to another predetermined subscriber line within the same customer group. Call Forward, Busy is activated when a call arrives ac a busy station. Upon finding the station busy, the system automatically, forwards the call to a predetermined DH within the same customer group. CALL FORWARD, NO ANSWER Call Forward, No Answer allows a terminating call to an Idle subscriber to be forwarded automatically to a preassigned DH within the group if the call is not answered within a preselected number of ringing cycles. Call Forward, No Answer is activated only when a terminating call has gone unanswered after a preselected number of ringing cycles. The number of rings, prior to forwarding, vary from two ten rings. [THE ABOVE CALL FORWARDING OPTION$--AR£ GROHPED TOGETHER IN ONE-PACIOIGE] CALL PICKUP Call Pickup allows a subscriber to answer incoming calls to another station by dialing a feature activation code. To perform Call Pickup, both the ringing station and the station dialing the Call Pickup activation code must belong to the same Call Pickup group within the same customer group. CALL TRANSFER The Call Transfer feature allows a subscriber to transfer an established call to another line, within or outside the customer group. In addition, a subscriber assigned Call Transfer automatically receives the privilege of forming a Three-Way Conference, even if her line is not assigned the Three-Way Conference feature. (Note that the opposite does not occur; i.e., a subscriber who is assigned only Three-Way Conference does not automatically have the privilege of Call Transfer. Call Transfer must be assigned separately). In addition we add Call Transfer, Outside as an enhancement to this feature. This allows the subscriber to transfer and drop out of the call, leaving the two other lines connected. There are no limitations on where a call can be transferred to. CALL WAITING, ORIGINA TING Call Waiting, Originating is a station option that allows Call Waiting tones to be imposed automatcally by the originating station. This feature does not require an access code to be dialed; Call Waiting is imposed automatically. The called subscriber has to be in the talking state in order to impose Call Waiting tones. This feature also includes Cancel Call Waiting. CITIZENS ~." CALL HOLD Tim Call Hold feature allows a subscriber to place one call mi hold for any length of rime, prodded neither subscriber goes om-hook. Activation of Call Hold requires the use of an activation code that is dialed after a bookswitch Path. Once a call is placed OB hold, the user may thee originate or receive another call OB any other idle DN, or perfoel Call Pickup, retrieving a call-walted call, or returning to the call OB hold. SPEED CALLING. INDIVIDIIAL Speed Calling allows subscribers to place calls to a list of frequentJy called numbers by dialinlt a Speed Calling code instead of dialing the whole number. The Speed Calling code Boflllally ColIslstS of aB asterisk (e) plus one or two digits. The Speed Calling numbers are progranuned by the individual subscribers/contrdler it their telephones. & Speed Callinl number may be i DH, ·~-'~--~ code, or feature iccess code. SP££D C.4LLING. GROIIP The Group Speed Calflng feature allows two or more subscribers within a customer group to have access to the same Speed Calling fist. This group fist may be used by all subscribers within the Speed Calling group, but can only be updated from a specified line, called the controller. Only the contrdler un add to, change, or delete numbers from the list. The controller can also use the fist to place abbreviated calls. The other lines in the Speed calling group ·re designated as users. A user b restricted to the use of the feature only, and cannot change the contents of the fist. There can be a maximum of :tO Speed calling groups within the customer group. Each of the 20 groups has its own Group Speed Calling fist. The number of lines forming the Speed calling group can range from two (one controller plus one user) to all lines within a customer group. $- IfA Y CONFERENCE The 3-Way Conference feature allows a subscriber to form a 3-way conference with two other subscribers, either within or outside the customer group. This feature allows the subscriber to perform bookswitcb flash durln, a normal talking connection, receive a special dial tone, and dial a third subscriber. The third subscriber can be added to the co~versatioB at any time by flashing the bookswitch after the third-subscriber dialing is complete and audible ringing is beard. The controller of the ~-way conference must remain OB the llne for the duratiOB of the call. CONSUL TA T/ON HOLD Unlike call Hold, Consultation Hold permits a subscriber oB an active call to retrieve a waiting call or pedoli/-Way Conference/Call Transfer just by flashing the hookswitch. The original call is placed in & temporalS, hold state. ConsultatiOn Hold is an inttlral pert d the ~-Way Conference/ Call Transfer or Call WaJtinf features when assigned. The subscriber may transfer · call or establish n ~-Wa)r Conference simply by placing the original call on temporary bald by flashing the bookswitcb. Special dial tone is returned and subscriber 'A' can then dial the other number subscriber 'C'. Subscriber 'A' can then consult privately with 'C' before transferring 'A' (who is currently oB temporary hold) or establishing a 3-Way Conference. J~41~E SET BUSY Make Set Busy permits a subscriber to transmit a busy signal on their line to incoming calls--this allows the subscriber to hoc be disturbed by incoming or internal calls. DIS17NCTIV£ RINGING Distinctive Ringing allows the subscriber to identify certain call types by applying · distinctive ringing cadence to incoming calls. Distinctive Ringing would allow yon to identify the ring of an interlUl call verses the ring of an incoming call.
