CLEMENTS COMMISSIONER ALSO ATTENDING: William E. Gwynn, Manager, Attorney, John Randolph, Deputy Town Clerk, Barbara Gwynn, Police Chief, James W. Greer, Police Lt., David Tinkham. The meeting was called to order by Mayor William F. Koch, Jr., at 9 A.M. Vice Mayor LaPorte moved the minutes of the February 13, 1981 Commission Meeting be approved. Commissioner Bettison seconded the motion. Motion passed. On motion by Commissioner Hunter and seconded by Vice Mayor, LaPorte, the financial report for the Month of February was accepted as submitted. In order to reduce gasoline costs, Commissioner Clements suggested looking into cheaper gasoline prices. The Town Clerk was instructed to follow up on this. Commissioner Bettison read the police report for the Month of February. He also read a letter o& Commendation for Lt. Tinkham. The report and letter is a part of the minute. Commissioner Hunter noted in the past the commission had been advised of the number of false alarms, and suggested it be continued. Attorney John Randolph passed out, for review, a burglar alarm ordinance he had prepared for the next commission meeting. Manager Gwynn read two letters addressed to the Gulf Stream School. These letters are a part of the minutes. A request was made to look into the possibility of adding a street light on Tangerine Way. The Town Clerk was instructed to follow up on this request. Attorney, John Randolph was instructed to look into the possibilty of an ordinance restricting construction during the winter months, Dec. 1 thru April 1. Meeting adjourned, 9:15 A.M. The meeting was called to order and the Town Manager administered the Oath of Office and Loyalty Oath to the newly elected commission Mrs. LaPorte nominated Mr. William F. Koch, Jr., for Mayor. Commissioner Hunter seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Hunter nominated Commissioner LaPorte for Vice Mayor. Motion seconded by Commissioner Dixson. Motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Hunter nominated Commissioner Dixson for Police Commissioner. Commissioner Armour seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mayor Koch nominated Commissioner Hunter for Finance Director. Commissioner Dixson seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mayor Koch nominated Commissioner Armour, Public Works Director. Commissioner Dixson seconded the ¢notion. The motion passed unanimously Vice Mayor LaPorte moved that the legal counckl, Johnston, Sasser and Randolph be retained in that capacity. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Armour and the motion was unanimously passed. Motion by Vice Mayor LaPorte that William Gwynn be re- appointed Town Manager. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Armour. Motion was passed unanimously. Motion by Vice Mayor LaPorte that Barbara Gwynn be re- appointed Town Clerk. Seconded by Commissioner Armour. Motion was passed unanimously. Commissioner Dixson moved that Police Chief, James W. Greer be re- appointed as Chief of Police. Commissioner Hunter seconded the motion. RESOLUTION 81 -2 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES FOR THE WATER FUND AND FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND AND SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX AT SUN FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA. On motion by Vice Mayor LaPorte, seconded by Commissioner Hunter, Resolution 81 -3 was passed. RESOLUTION 81 -3 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES FOR THE GENERAL FUND CHECKING ACCOUNT AND THE WATER FUND SAVINGS ACCOUNT, AT THE BARNETT BANK On motion by Commissioner Joel Hunter, seconded by Commissioner Armour, Resolution 81 -4 was.passed. RESOLUTION 81 -4 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, EXTENDING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO LINDLEY S. BETTISON FOR SERVICES RENDERED TO THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM AS A MEMBER OF THE TOWN COMMISSION. On motion by Commissioner Armour, seconded by Vice Mayor LaPorte, Resolution 81 -5 was passed. RESOLUTION 81 -5 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, EXTENDING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO EVANS M.
