Resolution Setting a FY25 Budget Adoption Hearing
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale (hereinafter referred to as "City"), duly published and held a property tax
levy rate hearing on April 2, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is required to set a public hearing prior to approving the budget for the fiscal
year ending June 30, 2025, and certifying the property tax levy of $9.88689 per $1,000 of taxable property
valuations; and,
WHEREAS, the budget is needed to establish the City's spending authority; and,
WHEREAS, City Council finds that setting the public hearing for the overall budget and certification of
property taxes is in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RIVERDALE, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The budget and certifying the property tax levy for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, is
set for a public hearing on April 23, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., during the regularly scheduled
Council meeting.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk/Treasurer is authorized to publish notice of said hearing as required by law.
